Talking Therapies (OSA & Insomnia, Parents Etc.)

Talking Therapies is a dedicated, supportive space for individuals who have been diagnosed (or suspect a) with sleep disorders like Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) or Chronic Insomnia. It’s a place to process your diagnosis, navigate the challenges of treatment (like CPAP therapy), and develop the mental and emotional resilience to adapt to your new reality.

The Path to Integration and Empowerment

This is for you if:

You have a feeling or a medical diagnosis for Sleep Disorders like Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) or Chronic Insomnia and it has shaken your sense of self or you need a caring guide for what to do next.

Perhaps you feel like your body has betrayed you, and you’re now facing a future defined by treatments, machines, and limitations. Or perhaps you are grappling with feelings of frustration, grief, or anxiety, and you know that navigating this journey requires more than just medical appointments.

You need a space to process, to adapt, and to redefine your relationship with your health and your life.

Why This Is Your Path:

This is a sacred space for integration. A medical diagnosis is not just a physical event; it is an emotional and spiritual one. Talking Therapies provides a compassionate, non-judgmental container where you can explore the complex feelings that come with a chronic condition.

This is not about “fixing” you; it’s about supporting you as you integrate this new reality into your life story. It’s about finding meaning in the challenge and discovering the resilience you never knew you had.

The Transformation You Are Investing In:

This is an investment in your own agency and empowerment.

The benefit is not just “coping” with your Sleep Disorder; it is transforming your relationship with it. It’s moving from a place of victimhood to one of active, conscious participation in your own wellbeing.

You will learn to see your treatment not as a burden, but as an act of self-love.

You will find the strength to advocate for your needs and the wisdom to live a full, vibrant life, not in spite of your condition, but with the deeper self-awareness it has brought you.

You are investing in becoming the hero of your own health journey.

Rohan P.,
Train Driver

I blamed my job for my sleepless nights. It turns out I was blaming the wrong thing.

As a train driver, your mind has to be sharp. But after years of irregular schedules, I was running on empty. I was irritable at home and constantly worried about being fatigued at work.

My GP felt I had Shift Work Sleep Disorder (SWSD), so I went to Sleep Well Hub, rather than wait for the NHS treatment.

I thought it was just the price of the job. The six sessions of talking therapy were a complete eye-opener. It wasn't just a place to talk about being tired; it was a safe space to be honest about the immense pressure I felt.

I realised my exhaustion wasn't just from the irregular hours; it was from the guilt of missing out on family life and the feeling that I was failing both at home and at work.

The therapy helped me untangle those feelings and develop strategies to be truly present with my family when I am home, rather than worrying about the shifts I'm missing. The sleep came back when the guilt went away. It’s not about changing your job; it’s about changing your relationship with it. I'm a better driver and a better father for it."
